AARP Phone Smarts 50+
Akaku Maui Community Media and AARP Hawaii are partnering to offer
basic literacy training on cell phones for residents 50+ on Thursday, August 29.
Today's smartphone is a small and powerful computer with tools that go far beyond
making a simple telephone call. Are you getting the most out of yours? Learn the
basics about how to use your Android or iPhone so that you can connect to the people
and activities you care about. This training is intended for people who need basic
information on how to use their device and is not intended for advanced users.
Two sessions are being offered, from 10am-Noon for iPhone users and 1pm-3pm for
Android users. Participants should bring their smart phone with them to the
workshop. Cost is $5 and space is limited. Priority will be given to pre-registered guests.
To register, please use the link below.
The workshops will take place in Suite 204 on the 2nd floor of Akaku Community Media.
There is an elevator available for those who need it, please call Akaku to request its
use, or any other information, at 871-5554.
